THE MOMENT OF LAUNCHING (KSLV-I)

A launch pad must firmly support a launch vehicle so that the vehicle can exactly fly to targeted ways. Further, the launch pad plays its important role in the successful launch. Therefore, we have been working closely with the Korea Aerospace Research Institute and Hyundai Heavy Industries to produce a successful launch pad for Korean Space Launch vehicle.

KSLV-II

The launch pad consists of the fuel supply equipment capable of withstanding a cryogenic temperature of - 200 degrees and the pad with the ability to withstand 3000 degrees of ultra-high temperature firing flame. The launch pad is 45 meters high and 11 meters wide. A test launch vehicle is supposed to be launched in 2018, and the KSLV-II will be launched in 2021.
